3 Halloween Events for Kids Who Love to Make Things

If your kids love making their own Halloween creations, here are three hands-on events on the North Fork and nearby that are worth checking out.

Paper Mache Costume Lab at VEME Studios

Greenport | October 22 & 29

Kids ages 8 and up can create their own Halloween costume pieces in this two-session workshop. First, they'll use cardboard and paper mache to build their designs, then return a week later to paint and decorate them. This is a great choice for kids with ambitious costume ideas.

Ages 8 and up, 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Kids under 14 must come with an adult.

Halloween Drop-Off Party at Bella Anima

Wading River | October 23

At this three-hour Halloween drop-off party, kids can make slime and squishy crafts, play games, and enjoy music. It's a fun night for kids, and parents get a few hours to themselves.

6:30 to 9:30 pm. Check with Bella Anima for ages.

Halloween Art Lab at Hotel Moraine

Greenport | October 25

This Halloween edition of Art Lab is ideal for kids who like having several projects to choose from. They can try nature-inspired art, make seasonal collages, or use the maker station filled with materials for all kinds of creations. The relaxed, open-ended setup works for different ages, and parents are welcome to join in.

All ages, 11:30 am to 1:00 pm.

Prices and registration links are on each event page, linked in the headings above. And there are more family events on our events page.
