LIRR Train #39 Celebration at the Railroad Museum

The Railroad Museum of Long Island is marking the 97th birthday of Long Island Rail Road #39, a steam locomotive that the museum is now restoring. Families can see model train displays, learn about railroad history, and meet special guests from North Western Modelers.

Kids who love Thomas & Friends will especially enjoy handmade models that bring favorite train characters to life in the museum.

Listed for Saturday, June 27, and Sunday, June 28, from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm at the Railroad Museum of Long Island, 416 Griffing Avenue, Riverhead. Admission is $15.
