Fleece & Fiber Festival at Hallockville Museum Farm

The Fleece & Fiber Festival is back at Hallockville Museum Farm in Riverhead this May, offering a full day of fiber arts, farm animals, and local vendors.
The festival happens on Saturday, May 16 at Hallockville Museum Farm. You can watch sheep and llama shearing, see spinning and weaving demos, shop for handmade goods from local fiber artists, and explore the historic farm grounds.
This event is great for families with kids of all ages. Children can make simple crafts, meet the farm animals, enjoy live music, and see how wool and other fibers become handmade textiles.
This year, there are also workshops for adults and older kids. Knitting teacher Patty Lyons will lead two sessions, and you can also try basket weaving, beginner weaving, or flat needle felting. You need to register separately for workshops, but festival admission is included in the workshop fee.
Stay to enjoy live music, grab food from local vendors, and pick up treats from Hallockville Bakers. If you knit, crochet, spin, weave, or work on other fiber projects, feel free to bring your work and spend time creating with fellow fiber fans.
Saturday, May 16, from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. Hallockville Museum Farm, 6038 Sound Avenue, Riverhead. Admission is $10 for adults; children 12 and under are free. Workshop fees vary. More information is on Hallockville Museum Farm's Fleece & Fiber Festival page.
As with any local event, please check with the organizer to confirm details before you go.
