Strawberries and Honey at Golden Acres Organic Farm

Golden Acres Organic Farm is hosting two family-friendly events in Jamesport on Saturday, June 6.

Start your morning with Strawberries and Stories, a farm storytime led by Waldorf Educator Maria Kata from Firefly Oasis. Everyone is welcome, but it's especially lovely for young kids. While you're there, you can also pick your own strawberries.

In the afternoon, join the Annual Honey Harvest for a hands-on session with Master Beekeeper Chris Kelly. Learn about honeybees, their role on the farm, and how honey is made. You can even help with the extraction and fill your own jar straight from the spout.

Saturday, June 6. Strawberries and Stories runs from 10:00 to 11:00 am and is open to all ages; u-pick strawberries are $12 per quart. The Annual Honey Harvest runs from 4:00 to 6:00 pm and tickets are $40; reservations are required. Golden Acres Organic Farm, 652 Peconic Bay Blvd., Jamesport.
