Mashomack Preserve on Shelter Island offers two four-day outdoor sessions for children ages 8 to 12 in late July and early August. Kids can hike the preserve's trails, paddle on the water, and explore the fields, forests, and wetlands. The program focuses on hands-on learning about nature and environmental stewardship. Each child can sign up for just one session.
Both sessions run Monday through Thursday from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. Session 1 is July 27–30, and Session 2 is August 3–6. Tuition is $375. Scholarships are available.
