Drawing and Seeing Animals at SOFO

The South Fork Natural History Museum is offering a two-hour animal drawing workshop with Jackie Hoving, a drawing professor from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn. The session combines art and natural history, using both specimens from SOFO's taxidermy collection and several live animals as models.
Participants will practice closely observing animals, studying their shapes and textures before drawing them. The workshop welcomes all skill levels, so no art experience is needed. It's a great chance for teens interested in animals, biology, or art to build their skills with help from a professional artist and educator.
Sunday, October 18, from 2:00 to 4:00 pm. South Fork Natural History Museum, 377 Bridgehampton-Sag Harbor Turnpike, Bridgehampton. Free, open to adults and children ages 13 and up. All materials are provided. Advance registration is required.
Details and registration are on the Drawing and Seeing Animals page at SOFO.
