East End Arts runs two Saturday art classes in downtown Riverhead, one for children and one for teens. Both meet weekly at the arts council, and you can pay by the class or buy a pack of sessions.
Kids Art Class: Fantastic Art Time · Ages 5-10
A weekly class open to children at any level. Sessions move through drawing, painting, and mixed-media work, and each one brings in a different artist or technique to try before kids make their own piece.
Teen Art Class: Fine Art
A studio class for teens working in drawing, painting, and mixed media. Students try different techniques, develop their own ideas, and finish pieces of their own.
Both classes run for an hour on Saturday mornings, the kids' class from 10:00 to 11:00 am and the teen class from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm. A single class is $38, a five-class pack is $185, and a ten-class pack is $355. You can see the current calendar and sign up on the class page.
